Privacy statement

Here is how The Bryanston Plumbers treats the details sent through this website, and how that fits the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

Just what you enter in the request form: your name, phone number, suburb and, if you choose to give them, an email address and a description of the problem. A hidden field notes the page the form was sent from, which tells us which service you were reading about.

Why we collect it

To phone you back about the work you asked about, to arrange a visit, and to send a quote or invoice for that work. Your details are not used for marketing and are not sold or passed to anyone else for their own use.

How it reaches us

When you press send, the form goes to our website host, which passes it on by email through an email delivery service. Both act on our behalf and only to deliver the message.

How long we keep it

Requests that do not lead to work are deleted once they have been answered and are no longer needed. Where we do work for you, the details on the quote and invoice are kept for as long as tax and accounting records must be kept.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and runs no tracking scripts.

Your rights

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask for it to be corrected or deleted.
  • Object to how it is used.

To do any of these, send a request through the form on any page and say what you would like done. Complaints about how a request was handled can go to South Africa's Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
